| Dear Bob, |
| People have been asking how to make their DataHub WebView pages specific to their company, and whether it is possible to add symbols and controls. Now, with the latest release of the Cogent DataHub, this is possible.

| Customize DataHub WebView |
|
With the latest release of the Cogent DataHub, there are now several ways to customize DataHub WebView.
- Company Branding gives users a general sense that the application is an integral part of the company's software.
- Initialization Parameters let you set things like background color, size, and position of the DataHub WebView object in the page.
- Custom Controls can be added to complement or extend the standard controls that ship with DataHub WebView.
- Custom Symbols are drawings that can be animated (rotate, change color, blink) according to point values in the Cogent DataHub.

| DataHub Simplifies Security Monitoring Project |
|
At Hogeschool Utrecht in the Netherlands, students recently used the Cogent DataHub to integrate data from pairs of security cameras, creating a unified data set for the whole floor of a building, distributing their results, and publishing an overview of the floor security status on the web.
"Our cameras had OPC client software from Simulink, but we needed to serve the data, so that the cameras could connect to each other," said Ko Stoel, the faculty member overseeing the effort. "So we tried using the Cogent DataHub to act as an OPC server, and found out that it works very well. Cogent helped us out with some excellent support, and the DataHub really rocks!"

| Version 7.1 Update |
|
In addition to the DataHub WebView customization features described above, a maintenance release of the Cogent DataHub, version 7.1.1, provides more robust tunnelling, better data connectivity, and improvments to data logging, the Event Log, and other features.
